Our Pastor: Reverend C.J. Thompson
After graduating from King College in Bristol, TN (now King University) with a Major in Bible and Religion and a Minor in Philosophy, C.J. Thompson attended Princeton Theological Seminary. C.J. and his wife Rachel arrived in Princeton, NJ a week after their honeymoon. Although C.J. enrolled in seminary with the intent to pursue a career in teaching, God had another plan for him. While interning at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Princeton, NJ and the Presbyterian Church in Middletown, PA, C.J. discovered that his true call was to serve as a church pastor. C.J. and Rachel’s son, Søren, was born just months into C.J.’s first “church call” at Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL. C.J. also served as the campus minister for Presbyterian College and as an Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, TN before beginning his current call at First Presbyterian Church of Manchester in 2014.
